The role involves delivering engaging and high-quality learning experiences to apprentices. There will be responsibility for planning, coordinating, assessing, and reviewing all learning activities related to apprenticeship programmes, both in the classroom and the workplace. A key part of the role includes providing ongoing guidance and mentoring to apprentices, with a particular emphasis on Apprenticeship and Work-Based Learning programmes. You will also carry out assessment and verification activities to support learner development and uphold quality standards.

5. Teaching: Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a variety of curriculum disciplines.
6. Curriculum Development: Lead the development of specific subjects within the curriculum, ensuring content is current and industry-relevant.
7. Research & Consultancy: Engage in significant research and consultancy activities to enhance the academic and practical learning experience.
8. Course Verification & Leadership: Oversee course verification processes, coordinate course teams, and provide leadership to ensure high education standards.
9. Impactful Role: Play a crucial role in shaping the future of the related industry by mentoring and educating the next generation of skilled professionals.
10. Classroom Management: To ensure student retention and achievement targets are met. Provide a safe and healthy environment in which to work and learn. Ensure that adequate resources and materials are provided to enhance learning, thereby enriching the opportunity and experience of learners.

What we're looking for
Qualifications
Essential Desirable Science-related qualification Level 4 or above A recognised teaching qualification or be willing to obtain within 2 years of appointment English, Maths, and Science at Level 2 (GCSE A* to C or equivalent) Assessor qualification – D32/32, A1 or equivalent Verifier Award (IQA) either D34, V1 or equivalent (or be willing to obtain within 2 years of appointment) Recognised pharmacy technician qualification
Experience
Essential Desirable Vocational experience of working in the science industry Recent experience of teaching in an FE/HE environment Delivery of NVQ in the workplace or college environment
Knowledge & Skills
Essential Desirable The ability to travel to apprentices’ workplaces Working on marketing and customer related tasks Good interpersonal and communication skills Full driving licence Suitable character for working with children and vulnerable adults Working knowledge of NVQ processes Comprehensive current technical knowledge and skills commensurate with the vocational context of this role Good knowledge of Health and Safety at work in an educational and vocational environment
