We are currently partnering with a global cosmetics brand that is looking to appoint a Commercial Director for the UK and Ireland (UK&I).
The position will report directly to the UK&I Managing Director. You will manage a team of four UK Key Account Managers (KAM), as well as an Irish field sales team and a UK&I sales coordinator.
Sell -in and sell -out activities.
- Recommend and implement commercial strategy, including training, across all territories.
- Monitor and report on sell -in and/or sell -out turnover.
- Oversee the Profit and Loss (P&L) for top -line revenue and commercial conditions.
You will supervise the Commercial Department for the UK and Ireland.
Your mission will include monitoring the performance of commercial activities using key metrics and preparing reports on the results.
You will also organise, prepare, lead, and facilitate meetings before, during, and after each commercial cycle, liaising with the local marketing team and HQ departments.
You will be responsible for reporting, informing, and alerting management on any issues or dysfunctions related to your area of responsibility. This includes negotiating rates and specific conditions of sale with key customers in the UK and Ireland, such as M&S, John Lewis, Lloyds, and Boots, while developing and opening new channels as appropriate for each market.
You will set sales and profitability targets for each channel and ensure a healthy balance among all channels (units, market share, pricing, gross profits, operating profits, etc.).
Additionally, you will perform monthly analyses of sell -in and sell -out results with the marketing team and sales teams to implement corrective actions as necessary, along with budget forecasting and planning.
Requirements Requirements:
- At least seven years of successful sales experience in the cosmetics or related sector in the UK.
- A strong experience working with key accounts, such as Boots or M&S.
