Options Trent Acres is an outstanding independent specialist school; providing 141 places for pupils age 5-19.
The school operates across two sites in Staffordshire providing academic and vocational opportunities in another both a rural, 12-acre site and a newly built college setting.
The school is purpose built, modern and welcoming with a range of specialist learning areas including an indoor and outdoor riding school and outdoor gymnasium. Pupils also have the opportunity to work with our horses, donkeys, goats, alpaca and chickens. Learning outside of the classroom is a fundamental part of life at Trent Acres. We have a dedicated staff team who are focused on the delivery of high quality, pupil centred, bespoke packages of care and education.
Our service is in within easy reach of Stoke, Derby, Telford, Stafford, Lichfield, Burntwood, Rugeley, Burton-on-Trent, Tamworth, Uttoxeter and surrounding towns.
For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties. As part of Outcomes First Group, we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.

Purpose of the Job:
To take a leading role in teaching Art.
To work with senior leaders to develop the curriculum and teach across qualification pathways within Art.
To work under the guidance of SLT to raise the standard of Art across the school.
Review, monitor and adapt curriculum matters in order to ensure a challenging, engaging and appropriate Art curriculum is being delivered to all.
To share the school's values and ethos to create a highly personalised curriculum to meet individuals' needs in an environment that is nurturing and holistic.

Trent Acres provides a wide ranging curriculum which is tailored to meet the needs of each individual pupil. Pupils are able to work to nationally recognised educational awards in a broad range of subjects. Pupils are able to access Animal Husbandry using our onsite facilities, Horticulture and outdoor activities education. Where appropriate we seek to source work experience placements for pupils. The service also seeks to build links with local schools and colleges which enable us to provide further education opportunities for our pupils.
Many of the young people who come to Options Trent Acres have either experience a fragmented education or have not attended School/ College for a long period of time. Many of our students have a Statement of Special Educational Needs/Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) which will detail and identify their needs.
