Job Description
Key responsibilities:
3. Lead electrical design activities across multiple concurrent engineering projects
4. Produce electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical
5. Design industrial control systems, MCCs, and power distribution solutions
6. Specify electrical components, instrumentation, and control devices
7. Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
8. Ensure compliance with IEC, ATEX, UL, and relevant industry standards
9. Support manufacturing, F.A.T testing, and commissioning activities
10. Produce technical documentation including O&M manuals
11. Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and processes
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate
12. HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
13. Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in electrical design within industrial, process, or automation environments
14. Strong experience using AutoCAD Electrical (or similar CAD package)
15. Good knowledge of control panels, MCCs, and power distribution systems
16. Understanding of industrial standards and hazardous area environments (ATEX/IECEx beneficial)
17. Practical awareness of commissioning and installation activities
18. Strong problem-solving ability and communication skills
19. Able to work both independently and within multi-disciplinary engineering teams
