We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Compliance Engineer to take the lead in ensuring our client’s cutting-edge engineering products meet the highest global benchmarks for quality, safety, and sustainability.
In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert on international product legislation and will have a strong technical knowledge in CE, The Machinery Directive and The Low Voltage Directive (LVD).
You’ll work across borders and business units, advising engineers, managing technical documentation, and ensuring my client’s products are built right the first time.
This role will be offered on a permanent basis and will be based at my client’s site in West Sussex, with hybrid working. However, they would also consider someone based further afield.
What you’ll be doing:
* Create and manage compliance plans so products meet worldwide safety and legal standards.
* Stay updated on new laws and explain what they mean for the company’s products.
* Train and advise engineers on what rules they must follow.
* Check and approve product documentation, including safety test reports and technical files.
* Help develop systems and databases to track material and safety compliance.
* Oversee projects to make sure they’re done correctly, on time, and within budget.
* Promote health, safety, and quality across engineering teams.
What we’re looking for:
* A degree in Engineering or Science.
* Experience working with product safety regulations, testing, and certifications, within a manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of international and European standards including CE, The Machinery Directive and The Low Voltage Directive (LVD).
* Fantastic communication skills!
