We are seeking a Tutor to deliver a range of part-time accredited and non-accredited Sustainability classes including NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Climate Change and Environmental Awareness. The classes will predominantly be held in West Dorset at our learning centre in Dorchester and other partner venues in that area but there may also be a requirement to teach online and at other locations across Dorset. This is a variable hours role and teaching assignments may include daytimes, weekends and evenings so flexibility is essential.
The successful candidate will join a teaching and learning team of some 200 staff. Most of the team are part-time and report to, and are supported by, a designate Area Programme Manager.
We use MS Teams to deliver online and hybrid teaching as well as in day-to-day communications with staff.
The Ideal Candidate
Requirements for applicants are:
1. A teaching qualification ., Award, Certificate or Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent or willing to work towards one
2. A level 3 or higher qualification in Environmental Studies or equivalent
3. Level 2 English and maths qualifications ., GCSE at Grade C or 4 or equivalent
4. Experience of using MS Teams
