The position will be part of a growing UK Compliance team supporting Ant International, in particular the provision of payments and financial services to corporate customers.
We are looking to hire a detail‑oriented, collaborative and agile regulatory compliance professional who is able to take the initiative to work closely with internal business, operations and various functional key‑stakeholders in Ant International, to support the achievement of business targets and objectives, and to comply with and fulfil regulatory obligations and expectations.
The ideal candidate will be a UK regulatory compliance professional who has FCA experience as well as having strong interpersonal, project management and stakeholders management skills, and one who thrives working in a fast‑paced environment.
This role will work closely with our various Chief Compliance Officer (“CCO”) and other members in the Compliance team, the key responsibilities for this role is as follows:
* Provide regulatory compliance advice to business and functional teams regarding the e‑money and payments regulations.
* Support the CCO in the regulatory reporting process.
* Support the CCO in the compliance due diligence review process for acquirers & financial institutions.
* Oversee our outsourcing framework and carry out any necessary outsourcing assessment.
* Conduct effective risk assessment on compliance risk event as well as for new product launches.
* Monitor internal and external business & regulatory environments to identify new or emerging risks and verify remediation of issues as applicable.
* Gain an in‑depth understanding of risk applicable to products and business processes (including regulatory risk, outsourcing risk, operational resilience and business continuity) and maintain an effective compliance risk monitoring programme.
* Work closely with other internal functions and teams to ensure overall compliance to all applicable regulatory and licensing requirements; and
* Support on ad‑hoc compliance projects as required.
Experience and Qualifications/Capabilities
* 5 years (+) in general regulatory compliance either in financial institutions or reputable international consulting firms.
* Experience in e‑commerce, payments, card schemes or financial services industry is preferred.
* Team player as well as ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines, and in a fast‑paced and fast‑changing environment.
* Experience of analysing FCA regulatory requirements.
* Strong ability to understand internal and corporate governance, processes and controls.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
