Role Overview
The Head of Division will be responsible for leading and managing a key division within Transform Medical Services. This is a senior leadership role, accountable for the division's commercial performance, team management, business growth, and operational excellence. The postholder will play a central role in shaping and delivering the strategic direction of the division, ensuring strong collaboration across all departments and stakeholders to achieve sustainable success.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Strategic Leadership
* Own and deliver the division's commercial targets, including revenue, profitability, and budget management.
* Develop and implement short, medium, and long-term strategies to support growth and sustainability.
* Monitor financial performance, reporting regularly to senior leadership, and taking corrective actions where required.
Sales & Business Development
* Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team, ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets.
* Oversee training, coaching, and development of sales staff to build capability and drive performance.
* Work closely with the marketing team to create and deliver effective campaigns, strategies, and key initiatives.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships and collaborations.
Operational & People Leadership
* Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention of high-performing staff within the division.
* Ensure effective workforce planning to meet the division's current and future needs.
* Provide strong leadership, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Develop succession planning and leadership pipelines within the team.
Cross-functional Collaboration
* Work across departments (clinical, operations, marketing, finance, HR, etc.) to ensure smooth delivery of services.
* Act as a key liaison between senior leadership and the division, ensuring alignment of goals and objectives.
* Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the division's performance and reputation.
Governance & Compliance
* Ensure adherence to all regulatory, clinical, and company standards.
* Monitor quality, risk, and compliance, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
* Drive a culture of safety, ethics, and professionalism across the division.
Performance & Reporting
* Establish and monitor KPIs across all areas of responsibility.
* Provide clear reporting on sales performance, financial outcomes, and operational effectiveness.
* Drive continuous improvement by analysing trends, customer feedback, and market insights.
Skills & Experience
* Proven leadership experience at senior management or head of department level, ideally within healthcare, medical services, or a related sector.
* Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering financial targets.
* Demonstrated success in sales leadership, business development, and strategic planning.
* Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong people leadership skills with experience in building, developing, and motivating teams.
* Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational delivery.
