My client is looking for a Finance Manager who specializes in Pensions Accounts. You will be working for and supporting the Head of Pension Risk. The role involves managing and coordinating all activities related to the successful operation, financial management, reporting, and risk management of the company's defined benefit pension scheme.
Key Accountabilities
1. Review and enhance the pensions control framework to ensure alignment with audit expectations.
2. Review and improve pension models to meet audit standards.
3. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of pension accounting and risk information, including disclosures in the annual report.
4. Support the Director of Pensions and Head of Pension Risk in preparing, documenting, and attending statutory and non-statutory committees such as the Pension Risk Forum, Pensions Committee, ALCO, and CF Trustee meetings.
5. Prepare pension information for strategic planning, including P21, ICAAP, and stress testing.
6. Assist in preparing the scheme costs budget and monitor actual performance against it.
7. Engage with professional advisors on day-to-day basis, including work on triennial actuarial valuations and audits.
8. Coordinate the annual review of actuarial assumptions and recommend any necessary changes.
9. Collaborate with stakeholders in finance, capital management, scheme trustees, and risk management.
10. Contribute to the development and implementation of the company's forward-looking business plans for the pension schemes.
Key Skills and Experiences
1. Solid experience as a Finance Manager.
2. Experience supporting Pensions Accounts.
3. Experience working within the Financial Services Sector.
