This is a hands-on technical position combining product expertise, customer engagement, technical support, installation, and after-sales care. Key Responsibilities Technical Sales Support Support the sales team in supplying and promoting the companys workshop equipment range including A/C and refrigerant service systems, fluid handling equipment, and related tools. Work with distributors to ensure they can effectively specify, quote, deliver, and support equipment. Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical advice to customers and distributors. Customer Engagement & Relationship Management Build strong relationships with garages, workshops, and key decision-makers. Provide technical demonstrations and installation guidance. Follow up with customers post-installation to ensure satisfaction and offer additional accessories or training. Installation & Commissioning Manage and complete installation and commissioning of new equipment. Ensure all work is completed to the required technical and safety standards. Manage your diary effectively to balance demonstrations, installations, and customer visits. After-Sales & Customer Success Provide post-sale support and training to ensure customers can operate equipment safely and effectively. Monitor equipment performance and assist with troubleshooting or warranty queries. Liaise with the technical support and service teams for complex issues. Market Intelligence & Continuous Improvement Track competitor activity, pricing, and product developments (e.g. ADAS, refrigerant recovery systems, fluid handling). Feed insights back to sales and product development teams. Support trade shows and training events as required. Administration & Reporting Record customer visits, quotations, and installations using CRM tools. Produce accurate forecasts, progress reports, and travel schedules. Skills & Experience Required Experience in technical or B2B sales within workshop equipment, automotive tools, diagnostics, A/C servicing, or related sectors. Strong technical understanding of installation, commissioning, and maintenance of workshop equipment. Knowledge of the UK garage sector (independent garages, dealer service centres, fast fit, etc.) and related compliance standards. Excellent communication and presentation skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. Organised, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple projects. Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and Northern Ireland. Full UK driving licence (able to drive a Transit-type vehicle). Desirable Level 3 Master Technician or equivalent qualification. Hands-on experience in vehicle repair, diagnostics, or equipment installation. Experience with refrigerant service machines, ADAS calibration, or fluid handling systems. Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to workshop operations.
