The Role
As a Deputy manager of the home you will play a key role in supporting the registered manager with the day to day management of the home ensuring with you support that the home and staff operates in line with Ofstedregulations and delivers a highest quality of care and safeguarding for children and youngpeople we support
You will help to support the registered manager to lead motivate and develop a staff team while ensuring that all the young people in our care, needs are being met.
Key responsibilities:
* Support the Registered manager in ensuring that the home meets all regulatory,safeguarding and compliance standards.
* Work alongside the Registered manager with supporting the staff team to deliver therapeutic child- centred care day to day.
•Build positive relationships with young people, families and external professionals
* Help to develop and contribute andimplement care plans tailored to each young person's needs to ensure that they are met.
* ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding policies and company procedures.
* You should have a solid understanding of and be committed to equality and diversity and inclusion in both the workplace with staff and young people and within service delivery
* Act as a role model for staff promoting positive practice and professional standards.
* Participate in an on-call rota and provide hands on support where required
About you
We are looking for a dedicated, passionate person who has at least 2 years' experience working as a deputy manager in a children's home that has and can demonstrate a strong understanding of the children's regulations and quality standards.
Essential requirements
Level 3 diploma in residential care in youngpeople you will be expected to undertake your level 5 diploma in young people and adults. (Roots of care work with an external company that can facilitate this works with an external company that can facilitate this) you will be expected to be working towards the completion of this qualification once in post.
