Role: Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Location: London – Hybrid

About the role:

The primary purpose of this role is to generate new business opportunities for mkodo. The role is responsible for building and maintaining a continuous new-business sales pipeline, encompassing web and mobile app projects as well as product-based opportunities, with a particular focus on mkodo’s geolocation platform, GeoLocs.

* Own initial outreach and take full responsibility for all inbound and outbound leads.
* Lead sales opportunities across the business in collaboration with the Head of Sales.
* Identify and develop new market opportunities and prospective clients within the lottery, casino, and sports betting sectors.
* Build, manage, and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of sales activity and performance.
* Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity, providing insights and recommendations to the Head of Sales.
* Collaborate closely with the marketing team to design and deliver targeted campaigns and promotional initiatives.
* Regularly track, analyse, and report performance against agreed sales targets.
* Prepare and present clear, insightful sales reports to senior management, highlighting progress, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
* Continuously review and refine sales processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and conversion rates.
* Support account management and delivery teams by assisting with the initiation and handover of new projects.
* Create tailored sales propositions for prospective clients, informed by detailed market research and a strong understanding of mkodo’s products and services.
* Conduct initial discovery calls with prospects to qualify opportunities and understand client requirements.
* Build and maintain mkodo’s sales database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date prospect information.
* Drive continual outreach to the prospect database, including proactive engagement via tools such as LinkedIn.
* Maintain ownership of all prospect and sales knowledge systems, including Salesforce and joint Pollard Banknote Ltd/mkodo customer profile documentation.
* Report directly to the Head of Sales, providing ongoing support across all sales and new business initiatives.
* Support mkodo in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of its ISO27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS).
* Adhere to all relevant mkodo ISO27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies, procedures and requirements at all times.
* Complete any reasonable tasks relating to the mkodo ISO27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS).

Key Skills & Attributes:

* Previous experience in Sales or new business development.
* Experience in the research and investigation of people and businesses to help increase sales potential.
* Can demonstrate strong presentation skills when analysing and offering conclusions about research and data.
* Ability to identify and prioritise market potential then devise strategic plans to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets.
* Self-motivated and goal oriented in meeting your own deadlines with little to no supervision
* Excellent communication skills across all channels, including the old-fashioned phone calls!
* Strong client facing skills with the ability to network and engage with all stakeholders
* Excellent interpersonal skills, to work collaboratively with team members across different divisions.
* Organised and meticulous, demonstrating the ability to keep to strict deadlines.
* Ability to analyse problems and come up with great solutions through reflective practices.
* Optimistic and open-minded personality, excited to work and grow in a new and fast-paced environment.

Nice to Haves:

* Experience working in the lottery, Sports-betting or casino industry
* Experience working in sales in IT, software development or technology world
* Understanding of web and mobile app technology
