Deliver CDM and H&S consultancy services from our Manchester office to existing and new clients. The scope of services delivered by the role-holder is flexible, dependent upon the Clients requirements, covering both CDM and H&S Management.
The key requirements of the role are to understand the Clients needs, proactively identify solutions to their challenges, and ensure consistent delivery of service excellence in meeting their needs and expectations.
Responsibilities include:
1. Understand and develop existing systems and processes to improve both CDM and H&S efficiency.
2. Provide expert advice and, where required, act as Principal Designer, helping the client manage and understand their legal responsibilities in accordance with CDM regulations.
3. Establish positive relations with existing and new Clients to gain confidence and become a trusted advocate.
4. Represent Turner & Townsend professionally, including meetings, negotiations, and correspondence with Clients in a timely manner.
5. Manage all commissions responsibly to ensure client expectations and scope of service are met, in line with Turner & Townsends business management system.
6. Conduct H&S performance reviews, audits, etc., on behalf of the Client.
7. Liaise proactively and professionally with SHQ and wider Turner & Townsend colleagues to contribute to team effectiveness, support others, and ensure quality and profitability of projects.
8. Compile and create relevant pre-construction information and H&S files.
Qualifications and Experience:
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate
* Full UK driving licence
* NEBOSH Diploma Level (or equivalent)
* GradIOSH or equivalent
* Membership of the APS
* Experience as a Principal Designer
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to plan and organise workload effectively to meet deadlines
* Extensive knowledge and experience within the Construction Industry, specifically around the CDM Regulations
* Experience across diverse industry sectors, with a proven ability to meet client needs, is advantageous.
