About the Role As a Stores Operative, you’ll play a key part in keeping warehouse operations running smoothly. You’ll be involved in goods-in, goods-out, stock control, picking, packing, inventory accuracy, and ensuring customer orders are dispatched correctly and on time. This is a great opportunity for someone who has worked as a Warehouse Operative, Stores Operative, Picker/Packer, Logistics Operative, Stock Controller, or within general Distribution and Supply Chain functions. Key Responsibilities Receiving, unloading, and checking all deliveries Verifying items against supplier paperwork and reporting any discrepancies Accurately inputting stock movements into an inventory management system Labelling stock and placing it in correct warehouse locations Picking and packing customer orders with a high level of accuracy Completing final quality checks before dispatch Following warehouse processes, security procedures, and health & safety standards Operating warehouse equipment in line with training and regulations Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards across all work areas Supporting wider warehouse operations during peak periods when neededWhat We’re Looking For Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or stock-focused environment Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced setting A positive, proactive, “can-do” attitude Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team Reliable, hardworking, and committed to high-quality service Flexibility with working hours when business needs require itDesirable Skills Experience with inventory or warehouse management systems Forklift or mechanical handling experience (training can be provided) Understanding of IT equipment or technical stock (advantageous, not essential)What You’ll Get £27,000 annual salary Full-time, 40-hour week A supportive, collaborative working culture Opportunity to develop skills and progress within operations
