About Norwood:
Founded in 1795, Norwood is the oldest Jewish charity in the UK, supporting neurodiverse children, their families, and individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities to live their best lives. We collaborate with local authorities to provide residential and supported living accommodations, short-breaks, and support groups for the entire family.
Pamela Barnett is a residential home supporting sixteen adults aged from their early twenties to late sixties, all with severe learning disabilities, autism, and physical support needs. Many do not communicate verbally but use alternative methods such as Makaton, objects of reference, facial expressions, and body language.
Residents require high levels of support with personal care, eating and drinking, and engaging in various hobbies and activities like swimming, arts and crafts, outings, and festivals.

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities include:
* Supporting independence and personal development
* Encouraging hobbies and interests
* Assisting with appointments and life skills
* Providing personal care and medication support
* Helping with household tasks
* Supporting physical activities and outings
Requirements:
* Previous experience supporting adults with neurodevelopmental disabilities
* Knowledge of safeguarding
* Moving and Positioning Certificate
* Flexibility to work 36 hours per week, including some weekends
* Clean UK driving license for at least 2 years
