Pig Farm Manager
Pig Farm Manager - Lincolnshire - £40,000 – £45,000 + Accommodation Support + Bonus
The Job:
A hands on management role running a pig unit. You’ll be responsible for the overall performance of the farm, making sure high standards of animal welfare, production and day to day operations are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the pig unit
- Maintain high standards of animal welfare and stock management
- Monitor performance, health, and growth of livestock
- Manage breeding, farrowing, and general production routines
- Lead and organise the farm team, including rotas and workload
- Train and support staff to maintain good standards across the unit
- Track and record production data, identifying areas for improvement
- Ensure accurate record keeping for livestock, medicines, and compliance
- Maintain strict biosecurity and health & safety standards
- Work with vets and nutritionists to support herd health and performance
- Oversee maintenance of buildings, equipment, and farm systems
- Manage feed, supplies, and day-to-day running costs

The Candidate:
- Strong experience in pig farming, ideally with management or supervisory responsibility
- Good understanding of modern pig production and welfare standards
- Confident leading and managing a team
- Practical, hands on approach with good problem solving ability
- Organised with strong record-keeping skills
- Able to work independently and take responsibility for performance
- Good communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in breeding/farrowing, AI, or livestock systems would be an advantage
The Package:
- Salary £40,000 – £45,000 DOE
- Performance related bonus
- Accommodation support if required

All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
