Assistant Quantity Surveyor The Projects You will work across a varied and interesting portfolio of projects including:
High-end residential developments
Education facilities and school refurbishments / extensions
Healthcare and medical buildings
Commercial and mixed-use schemes
Hotel and leisure projects
Community and local authority developments
Industrial refurbishments and new build projects
Projects range from complex refurbishments in live environments through to high-quality new build developments, offering excellent exposure and long-term career development.
Quantity Surveyor The Role Working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor and wider commercial team, you will support the financial and contractual management of projects from pre-construction through to final account.
You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and operational teams.
Assistant Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities Assist with cost planning, budgeting, and procurement
Manage subcontractor packages, valuations, and payments
Prepare and submit applications for payment
Monitor project costs, variations, and change control
Support commercial reporting and forecasting
Assist with final accounts and contract administration
Liaise with site and operational teams to ensure commercial objectives are met
Help drive profitability across multiple projects
Assistant Quantity Surveyor Candidate Requirements We are keen to speak with candidates at varying levels of experience.
You will ideally have:
Experience in quantity surveying within the construction sector
Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
Good understanding of contracts and cost control
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive attitude and desire to develop professionally
