Job Overview
We are looking for a teacher to join the Science Faculty within an outstanding secondary school. The successful candidate will be committed to planning and delivering a high‑quality curriculum that will challenge and inspire all students. Ideally you specialise in Biology or Chemistry where possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons.
* Behaviour management and classroom excellence.
* Act as a form tutor and undertake pastoral responsibilities.
* Participate in school and extracurricular activities as required.
* Engage with professional development and mentorship programmes.
Qualifications & Attributes
* QTS (or equivalent) plus a relevant undergraduate degree.
* Experience or ambition to specialise in Biology or Chemistry.
* Passion for science and for working with 11‑16 year‑old students.
* Thoughtful, self‑reflective approach to pedagogy.
* Desire to be an outstanding classroom practitioner.
* Excellent ICT skills that make learning visible in the classroom.
* Drive, resilience and ambition.
Induction & Development
Early Career Teachers (ECT) will join a comprehensive induction programme, including a dedicated mentor and one‑to‑one support.
