This is a ‘one of its kind’ position that will play a key part in building and modernising the private label proposition. To do this requires an experienced commercial Sales Manager who understands the Own Label playbook, someone who can straddle three functions in one; buying from suppliers, selling to customers and operational planning of goods from factory to fixture. This is a busy role where every day is different. NPD, ‘new food’ initiatives arising from customer demand, and managing a P&L that delivers 10% of turnover and very decent profitable returns.
We are looking for Private Label sales experience as a must-have. You will also love the idea of taking on extra responsibility to manage the buying of product from key ingredient suppliers across the world, sourcing new ones where relevant and using your know-how to negotiate great deals.
A natural planner, and highly organised, you’ll also have a strong work ethic, adaptability, and resilience. Personal conviction, hungry to learn, high energy, self-confidence, strong interpersonal skills, bags of EQ come naturally to you.
Whether you’re stifled by the operating shackles of big private label manufacturers or you’re looking to step change from monotony to entrepreneurial life, this role is PACKED with a sense of adventure and variety across multiple categories in ambient food products, managing dozens of suppliers across multiple geographies, and customers in the UK. The potential to develop a diverse, wider commercial skill set than simply selling is endless.
This is your chance to make a real difference within a smaller company, whose family values are at the heart of every decision made, where every member cares about what they do to make an impactful contribution.
