About the Role
Reporting directly to the Business Line Director & General Manager, the Operations Director is responsible for the operational aspects of Campsie site encompassing production, lean manufacturing, quality, supply chain, H&S, facilities, and maintenance functions.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
7. Provide leadership and direction to the operations teams within the Terex Campsie site
8. Develop and maintain best practices and production efficiencies in line with the broader Terex Business Systems using lean techniques
9. Oversee day to day operations of the production facility & financial aspects of the operations in line with budgets
10. Promote a culture of continuous improvement & strive towards best practice world class manufacturing
11. Improve the capabilities & capacity of the manufacturing unit, achieving on-time delivery & cost targets
12. Efficiently integrate new products into production
13. Lead, develop & motivate staff towards the achievement of targets & objectives on an ongoing basis
14. Act as an integral part of the sites S&OP process to ensure common understanding of capacity, build schedule and supply constraints
15. Collate and provide all management reports as requested to both site management and the wider Terex Materials Processing group
16. Provide relevant information and detail on an annual basis for the factory budgeting process in conjunction with the Financial Controller
17. Ensure timely and relevant communication with all relevant departments in the businesses
18. Ensure full compliance of entire team with site policies, procedures and H&S regulations
19. Cooperate with the wider Terex Materials Processing Group in relation to the implementation of manufacturing strategies and other relevant duties
Essential Experience
20. Whilst a third level qualification is preferred, a proven track record of operational achievement in a manufacturing environment is considered essential
21. A proven track record of commercial experience with a significant part of this served at senior management level
22. Background of managing a fast moving manufacturing facility (preferably engineering) including supply chain & quality functions
23. Experience of and a proven track record of staff management, appraisal & development of team
24. A strong motivator with excellent communication skills, you will be fully conversant on lean principles and have demonstrated the ability to apply lean techniques in your career to date
