Role Overview As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating leads and building a sustainable sales pipeline. Your ability to convert opportunities into tangible business outcomes will be essential for driving growth and establishing long-term client relationships.
Own the new business development process, aiming to build and manage a pipeline of approximately £20M.
# Maintain up-to-date records in CRM and associated management tools.
# Analyse market trends and customer intelligence; Create detailed project mandates and compelling business proposals.
# Solid understanding of the contract manufacturing environment, including electro-mechanical assembly, quality requirements, lead-times, and component sourcing.
Strong commercial acumen with awareness of revenue streams, gross margins, start-up costs, and development contract implications.
This is a hybrid role with frequent travel required across the UK and occasional travel abroad. While home-based, regular presence at the company’s manufacturing site is expected when not attending customer or prospect meetings. A valid UK driving licence and up-to-date passport are essential.
Car : £600/month car budget + fuel or £500/month car allowance + mileage reimbursement
Bonus : Discretionary bonus based on company performance - 10%
