About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly professional Personal Assistant to provide dedicated support to senior leaders within a fast-paced, high-profile public sector environment on a three month temporary contract.
This is a varied and demanding role requiring exceptional organisational ability, discretion, and the confidence to manage complex priorities in a senior leadership setting. You will act as a key point of contact, ensuring the smooth running of executive-level operations and enabling effective decision-making at Director and Assistant Director level.
In this role, you will:
Act as the first point of contact for senior leaders, handling enquiries, correspondence, and information requests with professionalism and discretionManage complex diaries, inboxes, meetings, and competing prioritiesScreen, prioritise, and respond to incoming communications, escalating where appropriatePrepare, process, and manage confidential documentation including reports, briefing notes, presentations, and decision papersOrganise travel arrangements, meetings, conferences, and associated logisticsProvide full administrative support for meetings, including agenda preparation, minute taking, and action trackingLiaise with internal and external stakeholders including government departments, elected members, and partner organisationsSupport the monitoring of strategic actions and follow-ups to ensure deadlines are metMaintain accurate and secure filing and information management systemsHandle sensitive information in line with strict confidentiality requirementsAbout You
We are looking for someone who brings:
Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant supporting Director or Board levelStrong experience managing complex diaries, senior correspondence, and confidential informationExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressureHigh level written and verbal communication skills, including report and minute writingStrong attention to detail and accuracy in all workProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePointA proactive, professional and solutions-focused approachPersonal Attributes
