Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and personable Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and excellent guest service skills. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, engaging with customers, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. Duties
* Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards.
* Take orders from guests accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies.
* Upsell drinks and promote special offers to maximise sales opportunities.
* Assist with basic food preparation tasks as required, including garnishing drinks or preparing simple snacks.
* Manage cash register operations, handle payments accurately, and provide correct change.
* Engage with guests in a friendly manner to create a welcoming environment and encourage repeat visits.
* Monitor guest behaviour to promote responsible drinking and ensure safety standards are upheld.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in hospitality, particularly in bars or restaurants, is preferred but not essential.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is advantageous.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
* Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions efficiently.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure.
* Experience in food preparation or kitchen work can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
* Time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods.
