We are currently recruiting for an IIE for a 6 months contract. The Offshore Inspection Engineer will report directly to the onshore Integrity Engineer and will be responsible for the competent inspection, reporting and evaluation of client in-service equipment. They will ensure that these activities are implemented in a safe and effective manner. They will carry out these duties in accordance with the company procedures and to the high levels of service expected by the company
TASKS:
* Provide primary interface between the inspection and integrity engineering teams
* Perform in-service inspection of client static equipment, as assigned by the Integrity Engineer, including pressure vessels, columns, drums, heat exchangers, boilers, coolers, tanks, valves and piping systems throughout the plant
* Carry out initial inspections, observing condition and makes preliminary interpretation, following the relevant client specifications and ensuring compliance to the written scheme, the facility safety case
* Assist the Integrity engineer with the management of temporary and permanent repairs
* Work closely with the Project Engineers as well as Maintenance and Operations team to maintain plant regulatory compliance, effective executive of shutdown, turnarounds and production targets
* Prepare NDT Scopes of Work, co-ordinate and supervise plant and NDT inspectors to meet the plant's safety and quality requirements
* Raise, review and update MCDR or repair orders/registers, providing a detailed description of the defect, it's location, together with relevant up-to-date documentation and photographic evidence
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Certification in Plant Inspection to ASME Level 2 or holds API 510 / 570
* UKAS RG2 Category 2 status
* Engineering Technician as defined by Engineering Council or equivalent (i.e ONC or NVQ Level III)
* IRATA Rope Access - (level 1, 2, or 3)
* Current NDT Certification in conventional NDT methods at Level 2
* Ability to read and interpret commonly used engineering drawings and data sets used in support of inspection activities
* Sound understanding of basic FM processes such as welding, composite repairs, joint integrity, insulation, blasting and painting.
* Offshore survival Certification (BOSIET/FOET, UKOOA Medical, MIST,EBS)
* Knowledge of ANDT techniques - desirable
* Experience in Maximo - Preferable
