Your new role
Working closely with the Managing Director this is a number one role within a busy finance function leading a team of 2. The role is a nice blend of day-to-day Controller but also involved in improvements to financial reporting and attending the monthly board meetings. Key duties are outlined below:
1. Developing financial strategies, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity forecasting.
2. Regular budget consolidation
3. Cash flow management
4. Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business
5. Ensuringpliance with statutory law and financial regulations
6. Payroll processing
7. Working closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings.
8. Management accounting including analysis and reporting.
9. Preparation of month-end financials to a tight reporting timetable.
10. Preparation of annual statutory financial statements.
11. Monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliation review.
12. Manage external and internal audits.
13. Cashflow forecasting and tracking.
14. Support ad hoc projects - To improve processes, systems, and efficiencies throughout ourpany operations.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a fully Qualified candidate who is either operating at Finance Manager or Controller already and who is used to a hands-on multi-faceted role. The ideal candidate will befortable leading a small team, overseeing the A-Z of the role, plus befortable working with the MD and the board on presenting the numbers. The role is mainly office-based but does offer 1 day per week hybrid working. A previous knowledge of manufacturing or similar sectors would also be hugely beneficial.
