A leading motorcycle manufacturer is seeking a Quality Engineer - Electrical/Electronics to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work on new product ranges, driving a “Quality First” mindset across the organisation while supporting pre-production and NPD processes.
About the Role:
The Problem Solving / Quality Engineer - Electrical/Electronics will:
* Support the NPD Quality Manager in defining, developing, and executing quality deliverables across new product development.
* Develop and implement product inspection standards for pre-production builds, ensuring readiness for handover to the vehicle Quality team.
* Collaborate cross-functionally on DFMEA, PFMEA, design reviews, control plans, and other NPD processes.
* Plan and support product and part-level testing for electrical/electronic architecture.
* Liaise with Supplier Quality to deliver PPAP and resolve development part issues.
* Drive problem resolution during build and test phases, maintaining accurate documentation in the problem resolution system.
Qualifications:
* Knowledge of electrical/electronic architecture within automotive or manufacturing environments.
* Understanding of part-level and product specifications, including CAN and LIN communication protocols.
* Experience with electrical test cases, test plans, and interpreting test reports.
* Electrical engineering experience preferred, with familiarity of technical drawings and electrical requirements.
* Knowledge of international standards and root cause analysis/problem-solving techniques desirable.
* Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
