Working hours - 40hrs per week, on a rota including a combination of early and late shifts and rotational weekends.

About the Service
Brandy Burn, located on the outskirts of Elderslie in Renfrewshire, has been renovated to a high standard, offering a therapeutic and peaceful environment for young people to learn, grow, and develop.
Your responsibilities include:
* Working positively, respectfully, and empoweringly with young people to promote good relationships and achievements.
* Collaborating with a team to meet the social, emotional, educational, and mental health needs of young people.
* Encouraging participation of young people in domestic tasks to develop self-care skills.
* Writing review reports, risk assessments, and contributing to care plans.
* Liaising with parents and partner agencies to ensure the best interests of the young people are prioritized.
Ideal candidate qualities:
* Understanding of developmental needs and milestones of young people.
* Experience working with children and families.
* Driving license is essential due to remote location.
* Ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with young people, parents/carers, and professionals.
* Proficiency in producing clear reports and records, and verbal presentation skills.
* Ability to challenge individuals appropriately, remaining calm and objective in difficult situations.
* HNC in Social Care, SVQ level 3 in Care, or an equivalent qualification, or willingness to undertake these qualifications.

Additional requirements:
All Residential Childcare Workers must undergo a PVG check via Disclosure Scotland and obtain membership before starting. CareTech covers the cost of this process.
