Job Description

* JOB: New Business Team Leader

* SALARY: £35,340 - £40,920

* LOCATION(S): Watford

* HOURS: Full-time

* WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least three days per week, or 60% of our time, at our Watford office. During the training period, we do ask new starters to be in the office 5 days a week until they are competent and fully trained.


What you’ll do / Responsibilities

About this Opportunity: Reporting directly to the Head of Department and leading all aspects of the New Business Team's activities. Responsible for leading all aspects of the team's performance and ensuring alignment with company objectives. You and your team will contribute to the continued growth and development of our rapidly expanding business. This role requires strong leadership, critical thinking, and a focus on delivering exceptional service and operational excellence.

* Lead teams through one-on-one sessions, supervise performance metrics, review call recordings/quality assessments, and monitor service level agreements against targets. Coach the team on new projects, case volumes, legislations and process changes. Authorise holiday, rotas and staff requests, career progression plans and mandatory training completion.

* Collaborate with colleagues, team leaders, and external partners to ensure a seamless customer experience. Work with Marketing to support campaigns, stock cars and new launches.

* Identify and contribute to process improvements and ad-hoc driver journey projects as needed.

* Provide outstanding customer service via phone and email, build rapport, and manage escalated complaints. Handle live chat and support launches, providing tailored quotations and follow-up to secure orders.

* Represent the company at events, roadshows, and launches, gathering customer feedback and promoting services.

* Stay up-to-date on vehicle models and industry trends; participate in internal demo cars to enhance product knowledge.

* Participate in other business-related activities and ad-hoc projects to support the team, HOD or business.


Required / Desired experience

* Customer-Focused Perspective with a genuine passion for providing exceptional service and building strong relationships at a Team Leader level.

* A warm, enthusiastic, and outgoing personality with excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills for customer and partner interactions.

* Strong interest in cars and the automotive industry; prior knowledge of salary sacrifice car schemes is a plus.

* Problem-solver with the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure; critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.

* Self-motivated, detail-oriented, flexible, and committed to continuous development; openness to Lloyds training and in-house offerings.

* Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage a pipeline and meet deadlines.

* A Great Teammate with experience in collaborative work and contributing to a positive environment.
