Location: Hybrid - London office & home Salary: Reasonable expenses will be met Contract: Voluntary British Heart Foundation (BHF)is the biggest funder of non-commercial research into heart and circulatory diseases carried out in the UK, with £437m of BHF-funded research underway. We raise money to fund this vital research through fundraising and our commercial operations including BHF Retail, the largest charity retail business in the UK. The Retail Committee comprises senior Retail executives drawn from a range of national retailers and plays a key role in supporting the Board of Trustees in providing guidance, support and challenge on the strategy, performance and management of the Retail Division. We value their expert insight on the wider retail environment, consumer market trends, operational best practice, and any other areas that may be relevant to BHFs store and online retail operations and performance. We are seeking to appoint two exceptional individuals, with extensive senior retail experience across a range of disciplines, to join our Retail Committee. Successful candidates will also be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to BHFs mission and values, and an understanding of the opportunities and challenges which we face. Terms of appointment Please note this is a voluntary role, but reasonable expenses will be met. Members are appointed for an initial three-year term, renewable with the expectation that members serve a maximum of two terms. The committee currently meets on a quarterly basis at our London offices (either virtually or in person) with meetings generally lasting 3-4 hours, usually including one all day field trip per annum.
