This is a field-based role primarily located in North & Scotland, ideally within an easy commute to Greater Manchester. Join us to drive positive change and foster a strong safety culture, ensuring every colleague goes home safe and well.
Toolstation, part of the Travis Perkins Group, is seeking an experienced, engaging, and analytical HSE Improvement Specialist. You'll be part of a 30-strong HSE team within Travis Perkins, with opportunities for professional development.
Key responsibilities include:
* Driving continuous safety improvements across the business, reporting to the Head of HSE.
* Collaborating with distribution centres to reduce risks and incident rates.
* Partnering with retail stores on safe product storage, handling, and manual handling risk reduction.
* Analyzing incident data to identify systemic trends and develop interventions.
* Visiting sites, engaging with colleagues, and understanding their concerns to promote safety culture.
What you'll bring
Ideal candidates will currently be an HSE Business Partner or Manager, with:
* NEBOSH General Certificate, HSE Diploma, or equivalent.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* At least 24 months post-qualification experience in a medium-risk business.
* Experience in safety culture and behavioral change programs.
* Excellent communication skills and confidence to challenge the status quo.
* Understanding of legal and technical H&S aspects relevant to retail and distribution.
* Experience in distribution environments and multi-site, fast-paced businesses is beneficial.
