The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Adviser to join our Casework and Organisational Change Team at Hampshire County Council. Are you looking for a challenging and diverse role working as part of a friendly and supportive team within People Services, with an opportunity to make a real difference?
Based in the historic city of Winchester, this vacancy is within the Casework and Organisational Change Team, who provide expert advice and support to our managers in dealing with a range of complex Employee Relations issues.
What you'll do:
The HR Adviser is a key role, supporting with responses to queries into the team, as well as providing administrative and technical support to cases and projects. This is an ideal role for someone wanting exposure to and the opportunity to develop their skills in ER casework and change projects.
What we're looking for:
The individual will need to demonstrate the ability to resolve issues through questioning, judgement and application of guidance, and attention to detail in communicating complex issues clearly. You will be able to prioritise your own workload to ensure success of your own and the team's work. Learning is important in everything that we do and therefore you will be self:aware and happy to share your own learnings in a trusted and supportive environment to help the team continuously improve.
The applicant will need to demonstrate a good understanding and level of experience of using Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyse and manipulate data as well as report production. Technical experience of HR Systems such as SAP and web:based document management platforms such as SharePoint would be an advantage. Relevant experience in an ER role would be an advantage, however it is more important that the applicant is an effective communicator, able to quickly build rapport across diverse stakeholder groups.
