Job Description Paralegal – Housing Disrepair Location: Newcastle (with hybrid working options) Department: Housing Disrepair Salary: Competitive Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch) About the Role We are recruiting on behalf of a top-tier law firm for a Paralegal to join their well-established Housing Disrepair team based in Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity for a Law graduate to gain hands-on experience within a dynamic legal environment that is recognised by the Legal 500. Key Responsibilities Reviewing initial claim documentation and triage reports Taking initial client instructions over the phone Identifying files to be progressed or rejected Handling incoming and outgoing post, emails, and routine client calls Liaising with surveyors and external experts Responding to queries from clients and referral partners Supporting the wider legal team with administrative and legal tasks under supervision Performing any other duties as reasonably requested by the Partners What We’re Looking For Law graduate (LLB or equivalent) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities using digital case management systems Strong attention to detail and time management Reliable, proactive, and professional with strong interpersonal skills High level of discretion when handling confidential information Committed to delivering excellent client care and supporting team success About the Firm With nearly 30 years of experience and recognition in the Legal 500, our client is known for their commitment to clients across personal injury, clinical negligence, housing disrepair, and more.
