The company
Do you want to be part of a growing team that’s committed to making a difference? Sustainability is a key priority within this business, and the newly appointed Carbon Analyst will directly contribute to shaping a more sustainable future for this business and the stakeholders with whom they work closely with.
Nigel Wright is proud to have been retained by a fast growth FMCG business to recruit a newly created job of Carbon Analyst. As the business continues to deliver on and achieve its strategic growth objectives, they are keen to not lose sight of what makes them unique - both as an employee and supplier. Their plans are ambitious, but through the commitment of their employees, and their focus on bringing the right individuals into the business, they continue to meet their goals.
The role
We are looking for a Carbon Analyst to join the growing Sustainability team. In this role, you’ll support the Head of Sustainability in measuring, managing, and reducing our environmental impact—particularly through robust carbon accounting and footprint analysis.
You’ll be responsible for calculating both corporate and product-level greenhouse gas emissions, with a strong focus on scope 3. This includes gathering and analysing supply chain data, developing product footprints using recognised standards, and helping to implement carbon reduction strategies across the business.
You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to build reliable data systems, ensure compliance with international standards (such as GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, CDP, and SBTi), and contribute to sustainability disclosures including CDP, TCFD, and ESG reports.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll identify opportunities for emissions reduction, support the development of science-based targets, and help embed sustainability into everyday decision-making.
The candidate
You’ll need proven expertise in carbon footprint accounting—especially scope 3 emissions—and a strong understanding of supply chain data collection and quantification. Experience with international carbon accounting standards and reporting frameworks is essential, along with an analytical mindset and collaborative approach.
All 3rd party applications will be forwarded to Nigel Wright
