Interim Project Accountant Job - 6 month FTC - West Devon
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Interim Project Accountant to join our client on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a dedicated project focused on creating and implementing a comprehensive Fixed Assets Register.
The successful candidate will be responsible for researching historical financial data, analysing past records, and ensuring the accurate identification, classification, and valuation of fixed assets. This position will be based onsite full‑time, requiring close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Review, research, and consolidate historical accounting data and asset records.
* Identify, verify, and reconcile fixed assets across multiple sources of information.
* Develop and implement a structured Fixed Assets Register.
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
* Work closely with finance leadership to provide updates on project progress.
* Recommend process improvements to strengthen fixed asset management going forward.
About You
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience.
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work through large volumes of historical data.
* Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise across departments.
* Proactive, organised, and able to deliver within tight project timelines.
