The Job:
Join us as our next Area Sales Manager and become the face of SBD brands in your region! You’ll connect with industry leaders, uncover new business opportunities, and manage exciting projects—while growing sales and strengthening relationships with both distributors and end users. What You’ll Do:
* Identify and develop end user and contract business by generating leads, building strong customer and distributor relationships, and providing technical support to meet customer needs.
* Recommend and implement productivity-enhancing solutions tailored to customer requirements, focusing on reducing downtime for UK manufacturers.
* Strengthen relationships within the branch and distribution network to increase sales opportunities and raise Stanley Black & Decker’s profile.
* Arrange and deliver product training and support for branch, sales teams, and customers to enhance product knowledge.
* Drive new business by self-generating opportunities, achieving sales targets/KPIs, and maintaining accurate records and engagement levels using Salesforce CRM.
The Person:

* Experience of structured selling and negotiating experience, including selling brands, solutions, and products; strong commercial awareness and technical product understanding (ideally Handtools)
* Ability to manage the profitability within tooling proposals submitted and Product Business Plan updates
* Highly motivated, ambitious, and organised, with the ability to prioritise workload and a strong desire for personal and professional development.
* Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills with both internal and external customers; flexible and effective team player.
* Intermediate PC literacy and proficiency in relevant software applications.
