Are you a passionate and skilled chef ready to support a kitchen where your culinary talents truly matter? At Harrier Grange, we pride ourselves on preparing fresh, nutritious meals that enhance the wellbeing and enjoyment of our residents. We are looking for a motivated and organised Second Chef to assist the Head Chef in delivering excellent food in a warm, welcoming care home environment.
Harrier Grange is a purpose-built, luxury care home located in the heart of Andover. We provide residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care in a supportive setting where our residents are treated with kindness and dignity — and our team members are truly valued.
What We Offer
* £15.00 per hour
* Contracted to 40 hours per week
* Paid DBS, pension, free onsite parking, and uniform provided

What You Will DoAs Second Chef, you will support the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and serving meals that meet nutritional standards and the individual needs of residents. You will assist in managing food safety, hygiene, stock control, and kitchen operations, helping to maintain high standards throughout. You will also work closely with the kitchen team to ensure a positive dining experience, supporting staff development and contributing to menu planning.
What We Are Looking ForYou will have culinary qualifications such as City & Guilds 706 Part 1 & 2 (or be working towards them) and experience working in a kitchen environment. A strong understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations is essential. You will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead and motivate others when required.
