Role: Business Development Executive (BDE)
The BDE is responsible for generating and qualifying leads early in the sales process. The focus is on identifying and engaging potential customers, mainly within the UK Public Sector (Local Government, NHS, NDPB, Blue Light, NFP, Higher Education, and Further Education), while also exploring opportunities outside these sectors.
Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identifying potential clients, developing targeted outreach strategies, and building a database of leads using CRM tools.
2. Outbound Engagement: Conducting cold calls, nurturing, qualifying leads, and setting up introductory meetings.
3. Market & Competitor Research: Monitoring industry trends, identifying new opportunities, and gathering intelligence on customer pain points.
4. Collaboration: Working closely with marketing on lead nurturing campaigns and providing insights from customer interactions.
Experience & Qualifications
* Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
* A degree in a relevant field is desirable.
* Confidence in cold outreach calls, including emails and LinkedIn messaging.
* Previous experience in a B2B environment is essential.
* Experience working in IT Services, Professional Services, or SaaS is beneficial.
This role is accessible by car and train from Bath, Avonmouth, Stroud, Tetbury, and Weston-Super-Mare.
