Job Title: Plant Operative / Waste Processing Operative
Location: Carryduff
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 5:00pm (45 hours per week)
Pay: £12.71 per hour + Bonuses
The Role
We are recruiting for a Plant Operative to support the safe and efficient running of a busy waste treatment facility. This is a hands‑on role involving plant operation, waste sorting, and general site duties to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate heavy plant and machinery safely and efficiently
* Monitor equipment performance and report faults
* Carry out waste sorting, segregation, and processing
* Follow all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment
* Assist with loading, unloading, and movement of materials
* Complete basic records, checklists, and report issues to management
Requirements
Essential:
* Experience operating plant or machinery
* Ability to carry out manual/physical work
* Good communication skills
* Reliable with strong attendance
* Team player with a proactive attitude
* Flexible to work overtime when required
Desirable:
* CSR Card or Health & Safety qualification
* Full driving licenceExperience with agricultural machinery
* Basic mechanical knowledge
