Job Description
My client, a large, well-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Drainage Designer to join their growing team of experts near the lively Scottish city of Glasgow.
Essential Criteria:
- A Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field
- Demonstrable experience of working with Drainage Strategies, Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), etc.
- Experience of drainage design and sewerage connections
- Good working knowledge of Section Agreements S104 and S106, and their relevant applications within the industry
- Working knowledge of MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, TuFlow, Causeway, InfoWorks, and similar software packages
It would also benefit applicants for the role of Drainage Designer to possess the following skills:
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows software systems (including Excel, Word, etc.)
- Excellent time management skills
In the diverse role of Drainage Designer, you will join a team of design experts in their respective fields, with a view to developing and progressing within your career. The role will involve a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Producing drainage designs to align with industry standards and speculations
- Preparing calculations and drawings for drainage systems, aligned to S104, S106, and other relevant Section Agreements
- Liaising with a range of clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
