In line with our exciting growth within Aseptic Services, we are currently looking for a motivated Production Manager to join our dynamic Aseptic Services team, where we manufacture life-saving cancer drugs. As a Production Manager your key responsibilities will include: Providing senior management to all Aseptic Production Staff Ensure that products are produced and stored according to the appropriate documentation to obtain the required quality Approve the instructions relating to production operations and to ensure their strict implementation Ensuring production records are evaluated and signed by an authorised person before they are sent to the quality control department Helping in all aspects of daily operations including cleaning, environment monitoring, assembly of raw materials. Checking the accuracy of technical aspects of the assembly and compounding (making) process after satisfactory completion of the department training program. Ensuring that Best Practice is followed and ensuring our systems are up to standard. Following unplanned incidence and out of specification procedures. Regularly reviewing and updating working practices and update relevant policies/SOPs (Standard operating procedures) where needed. Following the Change Request system to plan and make quality improvements. Allocating daily workloads amongst team members keeping departmental targets and customer demand in mind. Effectively managing workload allocation and staff to ensure the highest quality and maximum productivity. Managing staff rotas. People Management: Build and manage a high-performing, collaborative team that works in line with the Group’s values at all times. Ensure the appropriate level of resource and expertise is in place and that this is structured in the most effective way to deliver the strategy. Ensure that the team have clear objectives in place and that they understand how these relate to the KPIs and the divisional and Group level strategy. Ensure all team members have development plans in place and regularly reviewed. Provide regular feedback to direct reports. Proactively address underperformance. Ensure effective communication of key messages to the team from across the Group. Identify top talent and ensure there is a plan in place to retain them, keep them engaged and maximize their potential. Recognise and celebrate success on a team and individual level. What we are looking for: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management position A recognised management qualification is desirable although not essential A formal qualification in science or people management would be advantageous Previous experience in a licensed facility or under a section 10 exemption Someone who values teamwork, supportiveness, and has a strong commitment to maintaining high standards. Ability to work towards KPIs and an interest in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Why Join Us? These working conditions are governed by strict regulations and guidelines. Reasonable adjustments may be made to perform the essential functions: Attention to detail: Our Aseptic environment requires precision and adherence to legislation at all times. Workers will be required to detect any minor imperfections, such as: Particles or contaminants in solutions, scratched or damage to sterile containers and misalignment in machine components. Discipline and Focus: Adhering to strict guidelines without shortcuts is essential. Physical demands : The role often involves repetitive processes and being stationary for prolonged periods, working in protective clothing and maintaining aseptic techniques under demanding conditions. High levels of concentration are equally important to avoid errors Ability to follow instructions: Workers must follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) meticulously without deviation. Commitment to hygiene and cleanliness: A strong personal commitment to cleanliness is critical, including strict adherence to handwashing, gowning and personal hygiene protocols. Resilience under pressure : Aseptic manufacturing can involve working under tight deadlines and regulations Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with machinery and aseptic processes is valuable for understanding and troubleshooting equipment Comfort with using monitoring systems and understanding documentation is required Be Part of Something Bigger!
