Role Profile
Fleet Management
* Proactive administration and overseeing of FORTH Group fleet vehicles – from Procurement of vehicles through to handover and ongoing support to each Group Business.
* Support the ongoing monitoring of driver vehicle checks throughout FORTH Group, providing analysis to inform decision-making.
* Frequent and effective interactions with fleet-aligned FORTH Group supply chain.
* Support the Group Procurement Team in the implementation and ongoing management of fleet management software to fully systemise service offering
* Maintain accurate records of all FORTH Group vehicle users i.e. driving licenses, driving data etc.
* Be the lead point of contact for vehicle insurance claims and ensure close out in a timely manner, escalating as required.
* Ongoing monitoring, reporting and close-out of Group fleet traffic offences i.e. PCN's with summary reports going out to into wider business units.
* Support Group Procurement in moving forward fleet in-line with group business strategy and in-line with projected growth across Group.
* Promotion of safe driving practices across FORTH Group businesses, supporting the delivery of education around best-practice.
Corporate Procurement
* Support in the delivery of cost effective, timely purchase of goods, services & supplies in-line with corporate strategy and company branding.
* Build relationships internally and externally with corporate purchasing aligned supply chain & ensure reliable supply on favourable terms
* Conduct market research to ensure businesses have awareness on best cost, market trends, competitor activities and new products.
* Source products in-line with FORTH Group Procurement thresholds and best-practice process.
* Support the Group Procurement team with ad-hoc Procurement activities.
Person Specification
Essential attributes / skills
* You will have a fundamental understanding of basic vehicle maintenance including repairs and ongoing maintenance best practice.
* Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal / soft skills.
* Ability to work well within a team environment or individually.
* Ability to problem-solve.
* Commercially aware.
* Computer literate with experience in operating Microsoft packages in MS excel, word, PowerPoint & Teams.
* Comfortable in communicating with external suppliers and/or internally with colleagues at all levels through the organisation.
* Attention to detail
* Resilient – holding a 'can do' attitude.
Desirable attributes / skills
* Previous experience in working in a fleet management role.
* Previous experience in working in a Procurement / buyer role.
* Experience in implementing or using fleet management software.
* Data literate with experience in fully utilising Microsoft Excel to manipulate data sets and draw accurate conclusions that drive decision-making.
