You will be part of new team to provide nurturing care and development to children based in each room, whilst building positive and effective partnerships with parents, local authorities and services and all staff within the nursery setting.
Job Description
We are looking for a passionate Room Leader for our Baby Room, who can lead and mentor their team, and will support in providing a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
* Lead and mentor a team to deliver the highest care and education standards.
* Lead and support the Canopy Curriculum to ensure a child-centred approach, and ensure the observation and planning process meets the needs of all children.
* Be a key-person for a group of your own key children, and build strong parent partnerships.
* Keeping records up to date on our Famly App, and completing quality observations.
* Plan and deliver a range of exciting activities and experience's for children.
* To maintain an organised, safe and stimulating room environment.
* To lead by example and drive the 'Culture of Safeguarding' and follow the setting and local authorities policies and procedures.
* Have a clear understanding of and adhere to all policies and procedures, and follow legislations from governing bodies.
* Working as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day to day tasks are completed in line with the nursery demands, ie. Hygiene Standards and Room Preparation.
* Implement and maintaining the nursery's Equality Policy, ensuring that all children, parents and staff team are valued and included.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A full and relevant level 3 childcare or early years qualification
-Experience of working with children aged 0-5 years
* Knowledge of safeguarding practices and regulatory requirements.
* Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Hours:
40 Hours per a week Monday to Friday.
Various shifts depending on nursery needs.
Shifts will be within the hours of 7:15am and 6:45pm.
