About The Role
SHIFT PATTERN - Monday - Friday, Occasional Weekend, Out of Hours Cover, Public Holidays.
**MUST HAVE SIA LICENCE.** MANNED GUARD OR DOOR SUPERVISOR
A Front‑of‑House (FOH) Security Officer is the first point of contact for visitors, staff and contractors entering a building or site. They combine customer service with security professionalism, helping maintain a safe, welcoming and well‑managed environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Access Control
o Monitor and manage entry and exit points.
o Verify ID badges, visitor passes and contractor authorisation.
o Prevent unauthorised access.
o Maintain accurate visitor logs.
2. Customer Service
o Greet visitors and provide directions or assistance. ALL VISITORS WILL BE SEARCHED.
o Handle enquiries courteously and professionally.
o Coordinate with reception staff or building management.
3. Monitoring & Patrols
o Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify risks.
o Monitor CCTV systems (if part of role).
o Report hazards, maintenance issues and suspicious behaviour.
4. Incident Response
o Respond to alarms, disturbances or emergencies.
o Follow site‑specific incident response procedures.
o Provide clear communication to control rooms or emergency services.
5. Safety & Compliance
o Enforce health and safety protocols, including fire safety procedures.
o Assist during evacuations or building lockdowns.
o Conduct security checks on bags, deliveries or vehicles (if required).
6. Conflict Management
o De‑escalate tense situations using effective communication.
o Manage difficult or aggressive individuals professionally.
o Record incidents accurately for follow‑up or investigation.
7. Reporting & Documentation
o Write detailed incident reports.
o Complete daily occurrence logs.
o Communicate issues to supervisors or facilities/security management.
