About the role:
Edstaff are recruiting for a School Receptionist to join a friendly and supportive secondary school in Wigan. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors.
The right candidate should have a welcoming and friendly personality with a pro-active and positive approach. You must be confident in dealing with people of all ages and able to remain calm during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities:
* Meeting and greeting visitors, students, and parents in a welcoming and professional manner
* Handling incoming calls in a timely manner
* Booking in visitors and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
* Maintaining accurate visitor logs and supporting school security protocols
* Providing general administrative support to the school office as required
Essential requirements:
* Previous reception or administrative experience (school experience desirable but not essential)
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A calm, professional, and approachable manner
* A clear understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality within a school setting
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks
