høppstudio is on a mission we are transforming how sports organisations connect with their communities, educate their coaches, and support their athletes.
We have evolved our products into deliberate sports SaaS platforms, replacing fragmented technologies with a unified, data-driven platform products and features. Trusted by governing bodies, national associations, leagues, and clubs our sport publishing and digital fan engagement hub and LMS, together with two new products due to market soon, form a complete digital infrastructure for the sports sector.
The Technical Challenge
We build at the intersection of high-traffic publishing, mission-critical education (coach certification and compliance), precision-focused operations and sensitive personal data. Our stack spans headless CMS, React Native, AWS infrastructure, AI-powered journaling, and real-time sports data integration.

We're an office-based team in central Cardiff that thrives on face-to-face collaboration. Our engineers love the energy of solving problems together, the spontaneous knowledge-sharing, and the accountability that comes from working side-by-side. What we're building next
While we can't reveal all here, think ground-breaking AI-powered apps for athletes alongside multi-tenanted solutions for expansion of our current digital hubs and LMS, live streaming at scale, and integrations that connect the entire sports ecosystem. We need engineers who can think in systems, care about users, and build for the long term.

Skills we're interested in

* Experience in modern web development technologies
* HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+, React, Vue, Typescript, Node.js, PHP, MySQL etc.
* React Native and app development
* Experience in setting up and working REST and GraphQL APIs.
* Knowledge of relational databases (MongoDB, Postgres etc.)
* Skilled in Git workflows and setting up CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
* Experience working with AI models
* Experience with cloud services (AWS*).
* Knowledge of WordPress
* Working with Agile methodology (and tools like JIRA)
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Critical problem-solving, debugging skills, and the ability to write optimised, maintainable code
* Interest or experience in the sports technology industry is advantageous
* *we have a dev opps partner who expertly plan, build and maintain our server infrastructure, so we're not asking for you to be expert in AWS experts, just to have experience and skills at more senior engineer levels.
