Job Description
The School of Law delivers employability, careers and experiential learning support to students on all Law programmes. This role provides effective and proactive administrative support for the school’s employability and experiential learning programmes to ensure an excellent service and experience for both staff and students.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Lead administrator for employability and experiential learning opportunities within the school.
* Act as first point of contact for students, resolving complex queries and proactively identifying problems.
* Assist in the planning, delivery and hosting of employability-related events.
* Liaise with internal and external contacts to provide specialist advice and support in planning and creation of employability activity.
* Support School staff and manage the employability intern in development and promotion of new activity.
* Provide support for subject‑specific careers events, workshops, seminars in conjunction with academic staff.
* Promote experiential learning and employability events through promotional material, webpages, social media, Moodle, etc.
* Lead the School connection with College and University careers and employability teams.
* Work with the Development and Alumni Office to build connections with individuals and organisations for future opportunities.
* Coordinate with the School GO Justice team to ensure a wide range of opportunities for students, including placements.
* Other duties as directed by the Head of Professional Services and Student Experience and Digital Engagement Manager.
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
* A1 Ability to demonstrate competencies for this level, with equivalent experience in a similar role.
* A2 Strong IT proficiency, particularly Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).

* B3 Understanding of the legal sector.
* D1 Website maintenance and social media design skills.
* F1 Experience within a higher education setting.
* F2 Experience in legal education.
* F3 Experience in the professional legal sector.
Terms and Conditions
Salary will be Grade 5, £27,319 - £31,236 per annum. This post is full time (35 hours per week) and open ended (permanent). The role may occasionally require some work out of normal working hours.
