Design Manager| North Yorkshire | Regional Contractor | £45k - £60k + package
Im working with a growing North Yorkshire based contractor that specialises in faade and remediation works, particularly compliance-led schemes.
Theyre looking to appoint a Design Manager to take ownership of design management and demonstrate competency to the Building Safety Regulator.
The Role
* Manage the design process from pre-construction through to completion
* Coordinate external consultants, designers, and specialist subcontractors
* Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, fire safety, and faade standards
* Take ownership of design competency and regulatory submissions
* Identify and manage design risk and technical interfaces
* Support project teams with buildable, compliant design solutions
Applications are welcome from:
* Design Managers / Design Coordinators from a main contractor background
* Architects or Architectural Technologists looking to move into main contracting
* Candidates with faade, cladding, or remediation experience
Youll need:
* Strong technical understanding of construction and compliance
* Experience managing or coordinating design information
* Confidence dealing with regulators, consultants, and delivery teams
* A practical, solution-focused approach
