Senior/Lead Counsel International organisation- Technology/Telco (Software)
Reporting to the CEO, this is a newly created standalone role sitting within a recently acquired business.
You will be the sole lawyer for a rapidly expanding organisation.

What we are looking for
We are looking for a lead lawyer with proven and significant experience in contract drafting, agreeing, and implementing commercial contracts. (Software sector specific)
This is a hands on role requiring you to establish relationships with a newly acquired business while leading on contracts and being the main point of contact for global sales teams.
* We are looking for a UK Qualified lawyer with proven, significant and lead experience in contract drafting, agreeing, and implementing commercial contracts.
The successful candidate must possess:
* UK Qualified Solicitor with substantial lead experience working within the Software sector.
* Substantial experience of advising and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts.
* Experience of international contracts, or contracts subject to foreign laws and jurisdiction.
* Robust negotiation skills, especially in the context of high-value contracts with customers.
* Experience of working with, or within, a software or IT company would be (Essential)
* Experience of software licensing contracts, together with SaaS, IaaS, PaaS etc. (Essential)
* Proven experience of producing and presenting reports to a range of audiences.
* Experience of advising in relation to global data protection issues (including EU GDPR, UK GDPR and California Consumer Privacy Act).
* Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines.
* A strong communicator able to present confidently to senior level decision makers.
* A personable team player able to work effectively and collaboratively with everyone.
* Resourceful and flexible; able to quickly adapt in an intense and changing work environment.
* Ability to travel where required to customers and other UK offices or occasionally abroad.
This role will be UK based on a remote basis.
