GSL Education are hiring a skilled Design and Technology Teacher to join schools in Sheffield. The Design and Technology (DT) Teacher will deliver hands‑on lessons that develop students’ technical skills, creativity, and understanding of design processes across key stages.
Main Duties
* Plan and deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons in line with the curriculum.
* Teach a range of practical skills, including design, construction, and use of tools and materials.
* Encourage creativity, innovation, and problem-solving.
* Maintain a safe and well‑organised workshop/classroom environment.
* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Experience working as Design and Technology Teacher in a school setting.
* Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations in practical environments.
* Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
