Job Description

Chroma Recruitment is working with an established engineering business in the oil & gas, process, and petrochemical sectors, seeking an Electrical, Controls, and Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer. This is a key role for a skilled engineer with experience across electrical design, instrumentation systems, and control technologies.
As an EC&I Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical, controls, and instrumentation systems across a range of industrial applications such as analyser houses, sample conditioning systems, and process control environments. This role involves collaboration with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure technical excellence and timely delivery of bespoke engineering solutions.

EC&I Engineer Requirements:
* HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
* 5+ years of experience in EC&I design engineering
* Proficient with AutoCAD and Amtech ProDesign software
* Strong knowledge of ATEX standards and hazardous area design
* Experience in electrical testing and inspection in line with BS7671
* Familiarity with PLC hardware specification and control system design
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple workloads
